This biography begins in the current stage of my life when in the year 2016, I decided to focus my creative effort exclusively on visual art-based research projects. This year I was selected for PhotoEspaña Portfolio Reviews and, later, awarded a scholarship by Lens Visual Arts School, Madrid. In 2018, I started to collaborate with the Urban and Rural Development Institute of the Sveriges lantbruksuniversitet (SLU), in Uppsala.
The previous stages of my life speak of more than twenty years of freelance work in communication, accumulating practices, and knowledge in applied creativity: photography, graphic design, art direction, and production and editorial edition. A toolbox that I have now at the disposal of my vocation; to explore and tell stories, especially those ones involving the policies of social management and its contingencies with individuals and nature, and how these can be addressed from aesthetics.
In the beginnings, I acquired my first learning in the dark room of my parents business, a three-generation photographic studio. Then, in the School Elisava of Barcelona, where I graduated in Graphic Design and where years later practiced teaching. In all these moments, photographic communication has shaped my vital and professional interest.
Already in 1994, I won the Jove Photography Prize of the Generalitat de Catalunya, a work that became part of the Art Fund of this institution and was exhibited at the Palau Marc de Barcelona.
